Information is everywhere and Charli AI Research helps extract meaningful insights from any resource imaginable. This advanced AI capability generates refined content in a report. Charli AI Research report content is written by analyzing 100+ page PDFs, an AI-powered Google search, subscription sites, and much more.
The Research Project Process
Step 1: Create a New Research Project
The Charli AI Research report begins with a Project. Gather all of the resources to be analyzed by Charli, and Charli will refer to this information to write the final report. Use the Google Search integration and Charli will bring back up to 70 summarized articles based on the keyword search that is entered.
- Click +New in the bottom left corner
- Select Research Project
- Enter Search Criteria
- Select Search Integration from the dropdown
- Select the database you would like Charli to pull content from
- Select Search Origin from the dropdown
- Enter the Search Timeframe
- Enter the Number of Sources
- Charli can pull a maximum of 70 resources at a time
- Enter Topics
- Click Project Report
- Click Create Project
The AI workflow will kick off and gather resources based on your search criteria in the Research Project. Charli will analyze, summarize, and create Highlights during the AI workflow. Once the workflow has been completed, you will be able to review the resources and AI-generated tags in the Project for further searches.
Step 2: Adding Additional Research to Your Project
While working on a Research Project, additional topics of research will come up when reviewing Charli's initial results. The ability to Add Research to your Projects allows you to add search criteria to existing Research Projects to deepen the level of research being conducted and ultimately create more in-depth reports.
When you Add Research to an existing Project, Charli will gather resources, analyze, summarize, and identify Highlights based on the new Research Criteria and Topics provided.
How to Add Research:
- Open the Project you would like to add research to
- Click Add Research
- Enter the Research Criteria for your new query
- Add or Remove Topics
- Click Add Research
Step 3: Refine & Review Resources
Make note of your report framework and the content needed to write the report. Double-check that the content within the Collection matches the report criteria. As you skim through, continue to use the Note feature to keep track of interesting topics to eventually extract from the Project.
Step 4: Adjust topics to extract report content
Entering topics tells Charli to search the entire Project for specific information. Charli uses this information to write a paragraph on the topic, and we call these paragraphs Highlights. Topics can also be thought of as each section of the final report. Enter multiple topics separated by commas to build the entire report within Charli. Charli will generate all of this information into the body of the final report. Read this article for tips on entering a successful topic.

FAQ:
Can I review previous searches that I have made?
Charli offers you the ability to review your Research History in a Project to determine whether you have already asked specific questions, as well as, review and reuse older Topics.
How can I create quality search criteria?
Consider the questions you need answered. Take a housing market report, for example. Here are some questions to consider in identifying content for your report:
- What is the general consensus on California housing market trends in 2023?
- How did the pandemic affect the San Francisco vacancy rate?
- What are the fastest-growing cities in California?
- What impacts their growth?
- Will California housing prices continue to fall in 2024?
- Which cities present the best California real estate investment opportunities?
The goal is to answer these questions with resources. This may include government websites, real estate thought pieces, broker resources or blog posts, or long-form content surfaced by Charli in an AI-powered Google search.
Is it possible to change the name of my Project?
Yes, you are able to change the name of your Research Project by clicking on the Name at the top of the page and typing in your new name. Make sure to click the blue arrow to save your new Project name.
Can I conduct multiple search queries at the same time?
At the moment, you are unable to conduct multiple searches at the same time in a single Project. If this is a feature you would like to see, please let our team know by submitting a feature request.
